transformarii. In mitologia egipteana, soarele (Ra) se rostogoleste pe
cer, sub forma de sfera, in fiecare zi, transformand trupurile si
sufletele. Zeului i-a fost asociat scarabeul pentru ca acesta se
rostogoleste sub forma de bila pentru a depune ouale. Scarabeul a fost
vazut ca un simbol pamantesc al acestui ciclu ceresc.

A pendant - amulet, representing the Egyptian scarab, an amulet of transformations.
According to ancient Egyptian mythos, the sun (Ra) rolls across the sky each day and transforms bodies and souls. Modeled upon the Scarabaeidae family dung beetle, which rolls dung into a ball for the purposes of laying eggs (which would be later transformed into larva), the scarab was seen as an earthly symbol of this heavenly cycle.
